Zach and Gnargo Bike Co have created an excellent option for CWA chapters looking for a new trishaw. I took delivery of one of the first east coast bikes last November for a new chapter that just launched (May 2026). They are loving their Gnargo. Another location borrowed/stored the bike over the winter and also fell in love with the bike. Sturdy, comfortable, easy to ride. Lots to love! Best part is the personal touch and incredible support from Zach and his company! I agree with John SB though - the pilots would prefer a storage option over the padded seat on the rear rack.
We had an amazing experience with Gnargo! Zach talked us through details on the phone before we ordered and answered all our questions so we knew what to expect. The team worked with us for the deposit and answered emails promptly before the delivery. The trishaw was delivered in perfect shape and Zach made sure everything was working well and that I felt comfortable piloting during my lesson on the bike. All rides have been smooth and we appreciate all the small details Gnargo put into the bike such as the wheelchair accessibility package, ramp for loading passengers, throttle, easy interface for pedal assist, dropper seat ect. Love how much thought and attention was put into the design on this trishaw. From the convertible bed that can hold a wheelchair, to the increased power motor options, this is truly a machine that can bring the wind back into the hair of those who need it most.
We love our Gnargo. Love the new lower gearing and assist at initial rolling and up hills. So much smoother ride than any of our other trishaws (Trio, Nihola). Suggestion for improvement: when parked on any kind of uneven or sloped surface, frontgate lifts front wheels off pavement which means there is no parking brake and trishaw can roll. We are presently using a toe strap on the right (rear) brake lever as a parking brake. On future versions perhaps put a tektro lever with brake locking lever on the right side as well. Pilots finding the padded seat on the back not as useful as a rack top bag might me.
This trishaw is a game changer! By far the favorite of ours. It's like riding a Mercedes! We are so grateful to Gnargo for developing these amazing trishaws and enabling us to buy them in the United States. Thank you so much and we hope to have enough funding to buy an additional trishaw in the near future!
You never realize what you didn't have until you ride a Gnargo trishaw. Not only is a great, smooth ride for the passengers up front, the pilot position may be the easiest yet. The battery is plenty powerful to make it up any and many hills and the 2nd battery is ready to go should you need it. The computerized controls are also easy to understand and use for any user. I would highly recommend the purchase of multiple Gnargo trishaws so you could make a party out of it in any setting. We've used ours in a senior community and there are no shortages of riders on the days we show up at the center. Zach & his Team are also wonderful to "work" with during the selection and delivery process!

The Gnargo Trishaw is awesome. Very Sturdy and that really helps with loading passengers.

I'm still getting used to piloting the Gnargo after using a Christiania for 10 years. The wider bench seat and 2 separate seatbelts are definite pluses. I have not used the ramp and wheelchair Qstraint yet but that is definitely a plus also. The parking brake has been difficult to use but now I use a strap to lock the brake. Overall I am very satisfied.
